This is my interpretation of the famous paining from Henri Matisse “La Danse”.

To achieve this special effect I had to use different techniques.

The model was being installed behind a glass panel.

I had previously applied some paint on the glass panel, as if it were a clear translucent canvas.

Then, I set my camera for a long pause and facing the painted clear panel, I directed the model to move in the same way as the dancer in the painting.

After I made slides of the film, I scanned them all and mixed the different pictures together.
